Donations to Vision Foundation of India can be
A. either on per patient basis
OR
B. to the Corpus fund

Per Patient Basis:

Sponsorship of one eye surgery is Rs.1,500/-. Thus donations can be in the multiples there of.
For e. g.
  • To sponsor 1000 free cataract surgeries, an amount of Rs.15 Lacs
  • To sponsor 100 free cataract surgeries, an amount of Rs.1.50 Lacs
  • To sponsor 50 free cataract surgeries, an amount of Rs.75,000/-
  • So on & so forth.

CSR

Donations can also be made under the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 under Schedule VII (i) as “promoting health care including preventive health care

Donations under CSR can be contributed as Corpus Fund vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs circular no. 05/01/2014-CSR dated 18th June 2014, Sr. (viii) (Download the circular from here)

The exemption u/s 35AC will not apply to the funds received under Schedule VII of the Section 135 of the Companies (CSR) Rules 2014.

The names of the Benefactors will be displayed prominently at Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre at Babulnath.
